Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

All prices are in GB £ sterling. We reserve the right to change any advertised price before you place an order.

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If your order cannot be fulfilled you will be offered an alternative or given a full refund.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, Switch, Maestro, Solo and Delta cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, letter or over the Internet.

Payment will be debited to your account before the despatch of your purchase. We will take all reasonable care in so far as it is in our power to do so to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from John Henry Online.
Delivery Schedule
Delivery will normally be made within 5-21 days (Range cookers 3-4 weeks). subject to stock availability. We will make every effort to get goods to you as rapidly as possible. Deliveries are notified to you in advance so you will know the day goods arrive.

There are some areas in the UK where we may be unable to deliver certain products - these are Channel Islands, Scottish islands, including Orkney and Shetland.

If any item that you have ordered does not arrive within two days of the expected date please fill out the Shortages Form . Please check that the delivery note does not show an item as "to follow".
Back Orders
Any item that is out of stock when ordered will be placed on backorder; you will be notified by email of the expected delivery date. Should we receive no response from our email we will assume that you wish to accept the goods on the date as specified.

If the delivery date is unacceptable please respond to our email and we will cancel the backorder and either credit your payment card or, if you are an account customer, you will not be invoiced.
Tax Charges
All prices from John Henry Online include VAT.

Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee
All goods supplied by John Henry Online are fully guaranteed for one-year parts and labour. In the event of a manufacturer offering a longer or extended guarantee this will normally be offered as standard with appliances purchased from John Henry Online. After sales service would normally be booked direct with manufactures services organisation or their local agent. It is often easier and quicker if this is done direct. Documentation will be supplied to you with the appliance. However we will be happy to book service calls for you if you require.

We offer an extended 2 year guarantee from the date of purchase on selected appliances over £300. (*must register within 14 days of purchase).

All our products are brand new and boxed. We do not sell factory seconds.

Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders

All information is collected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Cookers Direct requests your name and address to enable us to provide you with an efficient after-sales service. Your name and address will be used by Cookers Direct a subsidiary of John Henry, for this purpose only.

Returns Policy
You have the right to cancel you order at any time from point of order until 7 days after the day you receive the goods. Should you cancel your order after despatch of the goods to you, you will have to pay for the cost of returning the goods to us. The goods must be in saleable as new condition and in original packaging. Shrink-wrapped goods must be returned unopened. We will then arrange for the goods to be collected from the delivery address. Remember you must take care of the goods until they are collected. This provision is not available on "made to order goods" items such as Britannia, Belling and Stoves Range cookers.

This Returns Policy does not affect your statutory rights.
